I stumbled upon this article and had to pass this story on. The former CEO of Cambell’s Soup Company had 20,000 employees to look after. Over the course of his career he wrote over 30,000 hand written notes to them. Every day he sat down, took 10 minutes out of his day, and wrote a letter to show his appreciation. He explained that acknowledging people is the first step in cultivating a community of passionate people. Think about who’s life you could affect if you took 10 minutes out of your day to appreciate your staff, clients, associates, etc.
