A new study the incremental difference between organic and paid ads revealed some a very interesting fact: even with a #1 organic Google ranking, paid ads result in a 50% increase in traffic.
The relevance here is that it’s often assumed that an organic #1 ranking will net you 50% of the search traffic off the bat without any ads. This study clearly proves otherwise. It also showed how dramatically traffic went up with rankings of 2-4 and 5+. The boost jumps from 82% to 96%, respectively. Very interesting results, indeed!
