What We Did:
You don’t become one of Northern Colorado’s most respected jewelry makers without refining your sense of style, so when Good Vibe Tribe jewelry needed a new ecommerce website, we knew it had to be as unique as Angie Shireman’s artisanal creations.
Form always follows function in our web development process so as our creative team was sitting down to determine how best to distill Good Vibe Tribe’s blend of positivity, craftsmanship and style into visuals (more on that later), our developers got cracking on laying the foundations for a functional ecommerce site. We love building sites that give clients the option to grow – or stay small – so our first step was developing a framework that was scalable no matter what kind of traffic Angie was getting.
First up, that meant developing a custom post type that gave Angie the power to display her creations without fussing with a lot of back-end hassle. So we built a pages with galleries to display work from many angles, while allowing Good Vibe Tribe to easily sort products by category type for easy browsing. Oh, yeah, we also made the whole thing integrate with an online sales platform, so Good Vibe could actually, you know, sell jewelry.
Customized pieces are a foundation of Good Vibe Tribe’s work, so we knew we needed to make a website that offered customers the chance to order specialized creations. With a custom interface that allows customers to select shape, size, text and images for their piece, new and returning customers can quickly get the ball rolling on a new, unique piece.
While the web team worked out the hard stuff, our designers went to work on the front end to build a brand that captured the same lighthearted and inspirational feel as its jewelry. Using the brand’s existing logo as a springboard, we incorporated the natural elements and vibrant palette. Tapping wood-grain textures, breezy open designs and organic fonts that mimic the typesetting at the heart of Good Vibe Tribe’s designs.
The end result? A website that’s so great looking it’s a gallery in and of itself. From custom designs to shopping, we feel we built a website that captures the vibe of Good Vibe.
